unbound

Our life was planned, the course set.

She threw them down,

her heart ablaze, and passionate.

Too great the difference,

too great the toll.

I am undone down to my soul.

All my dreams and hopes cast adrift.

She moved on,

her actions deadly swift.

Now here I sit,

quiet and alone.

The bitter darkness leached into my bones.
